Welcome
For over three decades I have served Kitsap County, as an active citizen, a professional, an elected leader, and most recently, as the planner for our new four-year college!
I am proud of how I’ve served this community, but there is more work to be done. That is why I’ve decided to run for Kitsap County Commissioner.
As an elected official, I brought people together to streamline county departments and reduce the cost of government. I also spearheaded the creation of a local Work Force Development Center that combines job placement, training, and counseling services in one location. While completing my doctorate in urban planning, I was elected to the South Kitsap Parks Commission, and worked tirelessly for park-funding and creating family-oriented activities in our parks, like festivals, a Halloween “Ghost Train” and summer camps for kids.
I want to continue asking tough questions and taking decisive action to make Kitsap a county that we can be proud to hand to our children and grandchildren; to make it a place where our kids can live, work, and raise a family.
Together we will make a difference in 2008. As your Kitsap County Commissioner, I will work to strengthen our economy, represent the issues that matter to South Kitsap, and steward public dollars responsibly.
Sincerely,
